PRIME STOCK NEWSLETTER FOR February 3rd, 2010

(If you do not see today's edition, please hit the refresh button)

Position Statement: In our Prime Recommendation Letter we attempt to identify the recommendation with the highest probability of moving higher.  We recommend that stop orders be placed at the time of purchase,  and once the position has moved profitable we recommend a stop be placed a minimum of $0.375 above the purchase price and moved higher as the position moves higher.

Today's Comments: The overall market finished Tuesday solidly higher in a broad based move that saw the vast majority of the sector indices I track move higher on the day as well. The strongest sectors were the Airlines, Biotech, High Tech, Healthcare, Insurance, Telecom, Natural Gas, Consumer, Cyclicals, and Retailers. There was weakness in the Chemicals, and the Banking indices were mixed. There was strength again in bonds as interest rates were lower. Crude Oil was higher by $2.80 to $77.23/barrel, and Gold was lower by $1.60 to $1,115.80 per ounce.

My apologies in the delay in getting this morning's edition published. Please remember when I am running late, I will start posting the morning's edition while it is being compiled. Please check back frequently and hit the refresh button.

Company Description: Suncor Energy Inc., together with its subsidiaries, operates as an integrated energy company. It operates in three segments: Oil Sands, Natural Gas, and Refining and Marketing. The Oil Sands segment produces bitumen recovered from oil sands through mining and in-situ technology, and upgrades it into refinery feedstock, diesel fuel, and by-products. It offers light sweet crude oil/diesel and light sour crude oil/bitumen. The Natural Gas segment explores for, develops, and produces conventional natural gas, natural gas liquids, oil, and by-products from assets located in northeast British Columbia, and western and northwest Alberta. It also transports crude oil on company-owned pipelines in Wyoming and Colorado, and engages in third-party energy marketing and trading activities.
